If you are on my friends list and would NOT like to be inundated with EVERYTHING I write about (my posts tend to be separated by subject, which can add up to many per day) please sign up at my Opt-In Filters poll. You're also welcome to change your mind at any time; instructions for doing so are included in the entry.
This is a personal journal, that's about it. It's about me, and mostly for my own benefit. I've found it to be a great deal of help in tracking patterns in my life, my health, my moods, and my activities. I use it to keep track of links and ideas, and to remember things I would otherwise have long ago forgotten.
I don't debate often, or post much about world events, politics, religion. Not because I don't have anything to say about these things, but because I've found that plenty of other people have said what I feel, and have said it much better than I. When applicable, I will quote or link in order to state my view.
My stock bio:
I was born, I learned to read, I found the internet. From there I found love and learned to create websites, made many friends...and now here I am.
"I know that if [love]'s out there for me, it will find me in time, and I'm not going to push it away when it does, or whine for it if it doesn't."
~ one month after my husband told me we were over, On one of my really bad days, at that.
"Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react."
I choose to react as positively as I know how.
If there was a better way to go then it would find me
I can't help it the road just rolls out behind me
Be kind to me, or treat me mean
I'll make the most of it, I'm an extraordinary machine.
~ Fiona Apple
"You know the thing that makes a fantasy great is the possibility it might come true." ~ Catherine Willows, CSI
"...love is many things, none of them logical." ~ The Princess Bride, by William Goldman
If I didn't credit you for an icon of yours that I have, go ahead and e-mail/IM me and I will fix that.
a bit of software which downloads LJ entries and comments. This enables offline viewing, thorough searching of all entries AND comments, and the peace of mind of knowing that your data is safe if Livejournal should ever crash or your journal be deleted. (It's still being worked on after a long hiatus; tags have only recently been implemented and are not yet searchable, but at least they're there!)
Tags are a wonderful new feature of Livejournal, and very helpful in sorting your entries, or allowing others to do so.
